Between 1994 and 1998 Tannery Arts founded and managed The Tannery, a successful exhibition space in Bermondsey, which grew to become an important international venue for exhibitions of emerging and established artists. A studio space in Laburnum Street, E2, was converted into a gallery by Tannery artists in early 2003. In September 2011 Tannery Arts and Drawing Room returned to Bermondsey and opened the new Drawing Room gallery in tandem with 16 new studios, in the heart of South London's cultural quarter.

As home to Drawing Room, a unique resource for the promotion of drawing, its practice, theory and methodology. Drawing Room is a not for profit organisation, which is an arm of Tannery Arts. Drawing Room explores contemporary drawing through public exhibition, learning activities, events, collaborative projects and publications. The gallery is available for approx. 2 months of the year for Tannery Arts artists to use free of charge for projects or to exhibit their work to the general public. It is also available for hire by non-Tannery members for exhibitions. Additional to the gallery space is Studio One, a multi purpose project space which can be used to host screenings, talks, workshops, launches, or as a short-term studio space (suitable for sculptors or those who work on a large scale).

THE GALLERY IS OPEN TUESDAY – SATURDAY 12noon – 6pm DURING EXHIBITIONS.

Location:	12 Rich Estate, Crimscott Street London SE1 5TE The gallery is part of an artists’ studio complex situated in the heart of Bermondsey, within walking distance of many galleries and other studio organisations including the new White Cube, The Jerwood, and Tate Modern.

Spaces available:	Gallery: Approx 1300 sq ft. Floor plan available on request.

	Studio One: Approx 500 - 600 sq ft. ground floor access benefiting from roller door access, and ready access to kitchen area.

Length Of Hire	Available by the day or by the week, or month (Studio One only)

Student Rate:	Student rates on application; dependent on length of hire.

Terms & Conditions	The Gallery will be hired out under a standard Tannery Arts Gallery Hire contract (copy available on request). All insurance (equipment, art works and public liability) to be undertaken by the hirer.
